Co-practice owner & ​Occupational Therapist

Vonick is the co-founder of Olive Grove Occupational Therapy. Vonick grew up in the Free State and ​completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of the Free State in 2019. In 2020 she ​completed community service year at Pelonomi Tertiary Hospital in Bloemfontein where she gained ​experience working with patients who were diagnosed with various illnesses such as strokes, traumatic ​brain injuries, burns, amputations and fractures.


In 2021, Vonick moved to KZN and continued to work in private acute- and rehabilitation hospitals in ​Durban and Pietermaritzburg. During this time, she completed her Basic and Intermediatory Wheelchair ​seating courses as well as her Workwell Functional Capacity Evaluation training.


In June 2022, Vonick opened her own practice which she then expanded in 2023 with Anele into Olive ​Grove Occupational Therapy and branched into mental health care at St. Catherine’s Life Path Hospital. ​This has allowed Vonick to gain experience in group therapy in a mental health setting. In 2023 she ​completed the OTGrow Basic Experiential training to upskill herself in the facilitation of psychosocial ​groups as well as her Psychiatric Functional Capacity Evaluation training.


Vonick describes herself as a compassionate therapist who goes the extra mile to advocate for her clients. ​She is passionate about her team of OTs and strives to support young therapists who are hardworking and ​eager to make a difference.


In her free time, Vonick likes to spend time with her family, friends, and dogs. She also enjoys reading and ​mindful colouring to unwind.
